Schedule: 10 months; 3.75 hours per day for 167 days of the school year. Midday hours - 10 a.m. to 1:45 pm.
Start Date: August 30, 2023
Salary & Benefits: Salary in accordance with the non-certified staff bargaining unit contract agreement. No benefits.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
* High School diploma or its equivalent
* Experience working with young children
* Sensitivity to the needs of young children
* Fundamental understanding of the developmental needs of young children
* Basic CPR training a plus
Responsibilities Include:
* Supervising students (Grade 1 - Grade 4) on the playground and/or in a classroom setting for safety and appropriate behavior
* Helping students resolve minor conflicts with their peers
* Observing student behavior
* Consistently circulating the playground area (or classroom) to observe student interaction
* Preparation of written disciplinary report for administration, when required
* Delivery of items dropped off for students by parents to the applicable classrooms, including bus notes or other dismissal notes.
