Overview of BLOC: We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve. Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness. We target neighborhoods that are underserved. We have a staff size of about 50 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors. Position Summary: Redeemed Home for Girls exists to provide mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual healing in a safe living environment to female victims of commercial sexual exploitation through trauma informed care in order to enable productive reentry and sustainable success. As part of reentry and sustainable success, Redeemed Home for Girls group home will provide independent living skills.About the role: In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations at BLOC's Redeemed Home for Girls, ensuring excellence in all activities. You'll undergo orientation training to understand the home's mission and Ohio legal requirements while participating in direct care alongside staff. Observing program dynamics, you'll engage in activities with residents, assist with transportation, and learn to identify triggers for effective de-escalation. Building relationships with residents is crucial as you support them in achieving their goals. Additionally, you will maintain detailed documentation, assist with intake processes, and participate in monthly supervisory meetings. It's essential to foster a Christ-centered environment while adhering to safety protocols and promoting trauma-informed care. You will also communicate any emergencies to the Director and collaborate closely with the care team to provide cohesive support for residents.Required skills and experience:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license required
  • Must submit and pass a BCII and Federal (FBI) Background check
  • Experience working with a vulnerable, at-risk population
  • Adaptability and aptitude in problem solving
  • General knowledge of human trafficking field and effects of sexual exploitation
