Apex Systems is working with there Healthcare client to staff a remote RedHat Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer. Our client needs to conduct a proof of concept for a solution to integrate pseudo file management with Active Directory as part of their Information Security Risk Management division. This effort requires working cross functionally amongst various internal teams and a cohesive and integrated solution across the on-premises and cloud environments. The focus is on driving automation, improving identity and access management practices, and aligning with industry best practices. If internet please apply. Staffing Agency: Apex Systems Client: Provide upon interest Contract to hire Remote: Yes Standards working hours Interview: Screening requirement before 2 rounds of interview Pay Range: $70-$75 an hour max There are two roles for this initiative: a RedHat and an Azure Sr. Automation Engineer. Both will work closely together to ensure a cohesive and integrated solution across the on-premises and cloud environments. Each will be responsible for use cases, documentation and participating in daily standups as part of a small scrum team. Position Summary We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic, Senior Redhat Infrastructure Automation Engineer to be part of the team that is transforming Identity and Access Management in our mission of improving the lives of patients. Key Responsibilities Strong Linux administration and automation skills Experience with Red Hat solutions and integrating them with Active Directory Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like Ansible Ability to lead the proof of concept for the Red Hat solution and drive the automation Knowledge of privileged access management and integration with identity management systems Experience in managing a large Linux server environment (20,000 servers) Familiarity with infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the company's Linux team Strong problem-solving and project-management skills Familiarity with JIRA and agile project management methodologies Maintain Detailed Documentation (High Level Design and Low-Level Design) of Infrastructure, Process and Procedures to facilitate Operational Continuity. Adhere to security best practices and industry standards for Automation. Ensure Compliance with relevance regulations and company policies. Develop design patterns and generalize code to address common use cases. Most importantly, build reuseable and expandable components Help ensure applications maintain seamless performance and adherence to KPIs and SLAs Implement data security and data protection within PHI (Protected Health Information) environment Stay abreast of modern technologies and practices, innovate, and collaborate Critical Skills & Requirements: B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field 5 years' experience in a related field Full stack design and development experience in C#/.NET, implementing RESTful APIs and dashboards/front ends. Deep knowledge of Ansible and Python Experience with version control platforms and continuous integration E.g. GitHub Experience with RESTful API development including JSON structures, endpoint negotiation Experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) Knowledge of industry CI/CD methodologies, Agile and unit testing. Familiarity with AI developer tools (Copilot) a plus. Experience with the following technology, or equivalent experience: ServiceNow, SailPoint, Active Directory/Entra ID, Infrastructure as Code Deep knowledge of Linux Additional Skills High-volume contributor Passion for learning Excellent communicator Continuous improvement mindset in a fail-fast environment User- and client-first focus with commitment to application quality and performance
