The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments and individuals from more than 1,200offices in 43 countries.Shared Service Banking Operations (SSBO) delivers industry utility solutions by aligning the right functions, people, processes and tools into 14 core disciplines offering tailored client service levels that are efficient, controlled and compliant with regulation.This role is part of Global Client Reference Data Services (CRDS) within SSBO and supports multiple business units across the Firm including Equity, Fixed Income Cash products, Prime Brokerage, FX non-cash products such as derivatives. They are a Global team located in Baltimore, Glasgow, Mumbai, Chennai, and Mexico and are primarily responsible for opening, maintaining, reviewing, and authorizing Client/Firm account data.About the Role:The successful candidate will be part of the Global CRDS Team and will ensure practices and procedures that create business value and minimize risk are adhered to. This is achieved through supporting senior management with:- Risk and control guidance in implementing new procedures, policies and/or best practices- Coordinating annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), capture updates from the line teams, review and analyze the control assessments and work with teams to implement remediation actions- Streamlining procedures by tracking manual processes, and finding opportunities for improvement without systemic solutions- Meeting key operational risk deadlines set out by the ORRC department e.g., Service validations, entitlement reviews, RAG ratings etc.- Managing supervisory framework through oversight of vendor management teams, document monthly performance reviews and maintain global outsourcing documentation- Document and track incidents related to risk failures and monitor remediation through the OpenPages system, ensuring that the necessary stakeholders are informedThe successful candidate will also be responsible to:- Manage account closure requests and perform pre-closure due diligence checks- Engage with divisional stakeholders to identify and assign ownership for client and non-client accounts- Partner with the Mumbai Account Maintenance Services (AMS) Team in responding to stakeholder queries- Address ad-hoc risk & projects related questions/inquiries from the line- Create/contribute to the monthly risk pack for SSBO risk team and other metrics relevant to management to provide transparency to stakeholders- Coordinate and lead global risk and project agenda- Work with the Global Risk Managers to perform risk reviews to improve the control environment via multiple work streams and initiatives- Participate and contribute to regional initiatives driven by ORRC and cascade the same within the global risk team as well amongst the stakeholdersQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have previous experience/knowledge within an operations related environment. They will be a confident analytical person with excellent oral and written communication skills.In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:- Qualified at degree level or equivalent industry experience- Aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment- Strong risk management and control mind-set- Individual needs to be performance-driven, proactive, with proven ability to take on challenges, set and execute agenda. Candidate should be a dynamic self-starter with the ability to work either on their own initiative as well as be a solid team player with strong problem-solving skills- Ability to evaluate and identify areas of risk across the organization.
