Description
Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. The Heart of Our Community provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. We are currently seeking a motivated, Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) Referral Services Representative that enjoys working with culturally diverse children and families in providing comprehensive patient care.
Referral Services Representative Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager, the Referral Service Representative provides referral assistance to all patients of HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. who require further evaluation through testing, examination, or by a specialist. The Referral Service Representative is responsible for assisting patients in obtaining the most appropriate referral appointment in a timely manner based on patient's insurance.

Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Required Qualifications
* CORI Release Form as to proof of being free from disqualifying information.
* Bi-lingual skills preferred.
* Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle as some transportation may be required.
* High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
* Basic computer skills required.
* Knowledge of insurance eligibility criteria required.
* Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients, family members and others.
* Ability to prioritize, stay organized, multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced and often-interrupted environment.
* Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
* Ensure patient and client satisfaction.
Competencies
* Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor and hold staff accountable required.
* Extraordinary customer service skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
* Strong computer skills are required to create, process, and analyze data and reports.

* Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
