POSITION OVERVIEW

The Refugee Resettlement Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating staff and client activities within Refugee Client Services programming. The coordinator will ensure that services are provided in a planned, effective and timely manner to clients focusing on maximizing efficient procedures and grant compliant services. This role requires availability during evenings and weekends on occasion. This position is Union eligible. This position is grant-funded. If there is a substantial reduction in funding or funding ceases, the position may be terminated and/or subject to applicable CBA requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for direct service staff within Refugee Client Services;
  • Assists the Program Managers to monitor the service delivery and documentation of all Reception and
  • Placement (R&P) services, Matching Grant (MG) services, Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) services and
  • Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) services; Employment Services, Social Adjustment Services,
  • Preferred Communities services, and the Refugee Health Promotion service to ensure grant compliance;
  • Coordinates workflow and workload assignments for all Case Managers and Case Aides, identifying opportunities for volunteer engagement or other support resources.
  • Assist with providing direct service support, referrals, and the identification and development of resources necessary to ensure successful program performance;
  • Maintains spreadsheets to track client information and program data;
  • Writes reports, conducts analysis of findings and follows up on recommendations;
  • Identifies and implements actions to improve program procedures and efficiencies as necessary;
  • Reviews the program's case files for accuracy and timely updates, to ensure they include all required
  • documentation;
  • Oversees data tracking and program evaluation tools;
  • Maintains current and up to date knowledge of US Resettlement Program;
  • Conducts hands-on training for staff in all aspects of program;
  • Works closely with staff to address client needs;
  • Submits a yearly program evaluation report to the Program Manager, and,
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field OR two (2) additional year of experience as noted below in lieu of education; and
  • 2 years of experience in direct service provision to refugees, asylees or other vulnerable populations, for example, Reception and Placement, Matching Grant, Refugee Cash Assistance or related post-arrival services.
  • Grant requirements may include fluency in one of the languages spoken by clients, including but not limited to: Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Pashto, Burmese or Arabic;
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable, insured transportation; and
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and adapt to multiple databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in direct service provision to refugees, asylees or other vulnerable populations, for example, Reception and Placement, Matching Grant, Refugee Cash Assistance or related post-arrival services; and
  • 1 year working with trauma-informed practices and case management.

Hybrid Work Plan

PLEASE NOTE: Employees are expected to live within the assigned geographic location in order to commute to and from the office or assigned on-site location(s) as business or client needs require.
