SUMMARY

Bering Straits Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Refuse Collector for the MCAGCC 29 Palms BOSC contract. This individuals primary job involves picking up and transporting waste/refuse to disposal sites, landfills, or recycling centers using medium and/or Blarge vehicles such as garbage trucks and/or box trucks.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pick up garbage, trash, and/or refuse from designated base locations
• Transport garbage, trash, and/or refuse to dumpsites, landfills, and/or recycling centers
• Keep logs and documentation in good order
• Clean vehicles and equipment daily

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAOs)

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent
• Valid Driver License
• Must be able to obtain Base Access (DBids)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Preferred

• 2 Years Refuse Collection Experience
• Military Base work experience

Job is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to excess heat and inclement weather as well as time driving or as a passenger in a vehicle.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
