The office is also responsible for recruiting and enrollment an academically prepared student body geographically and economically varied. Employee must be able to report to work in New York City daily. Extensive travel required in assigned recruiting territory. Evenings and weekend work required. Multiple trips per year to Texas A&M - College Station will be required for training and assisting with large recruiting events. Must be self-motivated with the ability to coordinate and attend meetings and conferences at times beyond usual working hours.Required Education and Experience* Bachelor's degree.* Two years of related experience in student services, student admissions, student recruitment, or financial aid.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Knowledge of financial aid programs and federal regulations relating to student financial aid* Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills with individuals or in a group setting* Must possess strong organization skills* Ability to work well with students and parents* Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs* Ability to work well under pressure in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications* More than two years of professional experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, student advising, student financial aid or student services related position* Experience in giving presentations to large groups.* Participation in programs or other professional organizations related to admissions, recruitment, student advising, student financial aid or student services.* Proficiency in student information systems* Master's Degree* BilingualWhy Texas A&M University?Texas A&M University is committed to enriching the learning and working environment by promoting a culture that respects all perspectives, talents & lived experience.
