Prescribes and adheres to the Recover-Care way in all personal and professional interactions while on duty in and around the facilities. The Assistant Reginal Director of Maintenance Services demonstrates great customer service by mentoring Recover-Cares three core principles of Exceptional Care, Passionate Service and Unexpected Luxury in all hisher job duties and responsibilities.
Responsible for maintenance of facilities, projects and regulations pertaining to all Recover-Care facilities. Responsible for repairs inside and outside the facilities to provide a safe, attractive, and orderly environment for the benefit, use, enjoyment and protection of residents, staff, and visitors. Having knowledge in carpentry, electrical, drywall, plumbing, painting, life safety for LTC facilities, fire panels, HVAC, flooring installation, low voltage electrical, and other maintenance knowledge is a plus.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Helps the Regional and Regional Assistant with tasks
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee and prioritize projects and daily functions as needed if warranted. Enforces facility policies with authority to issue Action Reports as needed.
Utilizes and maintains TELS online reporting program according to Recover-Care policy and procedure. Prioritizes work orders. Participates in repair work such as masonry, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Schedules, delegates, or completes work orders.
Utilizes and follows the TELS preventive maintenance schedules.
Lifts and/or moves equipment, supplies, and furnishings as required.
Assures building and safety codes are adhered to.
Coordinates maintenance services with all other departments and services.
Completes forms and reports as required.
Complies with laws and regulations applicable to position and acts in accordance with Recover-Care Compliance Program.
Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy.
Follows dress and hygiene policies.
Knows and follows facility safety prolicies. Reports and documents any incidents or accidents of residents, staff or visitors to the appropriate facility personnel. Reports all hazardous conditions/equipment to Administrator, Regional Vice President or Reginal Maintenance Director.
Uses required protective equipment. Follows infection control standards, policies, and procedure.
Knows Resident Rights. Helps the residents/patients exercise and/or protect their rights. Reports resident/patient complaints to management. Maintains confidentiality of resident/patient information.
Follows and adheres to Recover-Care policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information.
Uses and/or discloses only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. (Applies only if position requires access to PHI under Role Based Access Grid.)
Reports all suspected violation of companys HIPAA policies or procedures to Facility Privacy Designee.
. On call for emergencies 24 hours a day, delegate after hours assignments to Director of Maintenance Services. Holiday and weekend hours as scheduled. This is salaried position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior maintenance experience required.
Physical Demands:
Primary activities involve driving, walking and talking. Involves sitting and standing.
Travel: Up to 30%
Working conditions: outside/inside with well- lighted and well-ventilated areas.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must possess a current driver's license and be able to drive personal vehicle. Knowledge and ability in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plastering, and painting preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work with a minimum of supervision. Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Meets all health requirements, as required by law. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The responsibilities of this position involve significant physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 60 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting.
