Are you up for the challenge?We are looking for an ambitious Regional Business Relations Partner with a strong growth mindset, resourceful, and hands-on attitude. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities in our ecosystem for growth and being a good corporate citizen, deploy Novonesis' story across the US and Canada both internally and externally, as well as build external connections with key third parties. You thrive to deliver meaningful stories externally, sharing our global impact from the region, and elevating our brand as a Biosolutions Powerhouse across North America. You will join the Presidential team, working closely across Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Regional Business Development, North America site people leaders, as well as the Public Affairs team.In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Identifying and scoping, together with communications, site and people leaders' areas for brand positioning to share the impact we have on the world.
  • Developing deep understanding of the situation (e.g., culture, norms, ecosystem, and political climate) and convert that into a value-adding insight for external brand positioning. Identifying opportunities and risks with our external brand.
  • Externally engaging the ecosystem to position Novonesis as a Biosolutions powerhouse across universities & schools, key third-party organizations, and key regional events (examples include NC Biotech Center, Bio, SynBioBeta).
  • Owning STEM engagement tours and events to educate around our technology, careers, and capabilities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key third parties (examples: universities, trade organizations, local chamber of commerce).
  • Identifying growth opportunities through engagements for North America (examples: grants, licensing opportunities, technology advancement, etc).
  • Negotiating contracts with partners and clients (if applicable) (examples: Master Research Agreements, CDAs, MTA).
  • Coordinating our internal town halls along with our communication team to showcase key regional initiatives (both internal & external).

To succeed you must hold:

  • BS or MS in Business or Scientific discipline with focus in Marketing Communications and Program Development.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and structured approach to problem solving, and resourceful in finding ways to overcome ambiguous or incomplete information sets.
  • Comfortable working both as part of a team, often cross-functional, and independently.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to handle many tasks simultaneously.
  • Great networking and presentation skills.
  • Superuser of Excel and PowerPoint, with Graphic design capabilities a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the impact of social media and digital platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • 30% travel expected.

Location: Person can be based in either Franklinton, NC or Milwaukee, WI (hybrid schedule)Application deadline: October 17th, 2024.

Expected salary range: $110,000 - $130,000.
