We do this through our programming and outreach strategy that empowers young people, encourages civic engagement, and educates communities on voting rights through place-based, grassroots organizing. Our vision is to cultivate a transformative culture of civic engagement throughout the state of Mississippi.Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and organized candidate for our Regional Coordinator to lead the administrative operations throughout the state of Mississippi. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, exercise outstanding communication, and have a passion for driving positive change within their community. The Regional Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the office and supporting our mission to enhance voter participation and civic awareness.Responsibilities:
  • Office Management:
  • Oversee and manage the satellite office in the designated region, ensuring its smooth operation and adherence to MS Votes' policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain office protocols to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Communication:
  • Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external communications, managing phone calls, emails, and inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Coordinators to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts across the state to achieve organizational goals.
    • Event Coordination:
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating events, workshops, and community outreach programs aimed at promoting voter education and engagement.
    • Volunteer Coordination:
  • Develop and execute strategies to recruit, train, and retain volunteers within the region.
  • Coordinate volunteer activities, ensuring alignment with MS Votes' goals and objectives.
    • Management:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the Field Organizer and Youth Organizer in the region.
  • Collaborate with organizers to implement effective community outreach and engagement strategies.
    • Community Engagement:
  • Foster relationships with community leaders, organizations, and key stakeholders in the region.
  • Organize and participate in events to raise awareness about MS Votes and encourage voter participation.
    • Data Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer activities, outreach efforts, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Compile and submit regular reports to the statewide leadership team.
    • Financial Support:
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reporting, and basic financial record-keeping to support the organization's financial accountability.
    • Training & Development Supervision:
  • Conduct training sessions for volunteers and organizers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Manage and supervise administrative support staff, ensuring their professional development and adherence to organizational policies.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience in office management or administrative roles, with a track record of successfully managing office operations.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic understanding of office technology.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and data management.
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems creatively.
    • Familiarity with community engagement, voter education, or non-profit organizations is a plus.

    • Starting Salary: $65,000
    • $160 Monthly Cell Phone Allowance
    • Healthcare, dental, and vision care at 50% coverage by MS Votes, as well as mental health care covered 100% by MS Votes.
