Job Description:

The starting salary for this position is $62,000-$67,000 depending on experience.

Summary/Primary Purpose: Under the supervision of the Divisional Social Services Director, the Regional Coordinator will play a key role in training, consulting, and supporting casework services through the Pathway of Hope (POH) approach at Corps, Service Extension, and other Social Services sites. As a vital member of the Divisional Social Services team, the Regional Coordinator will help achieve program objectives by training and consulting with Corps staff, collecting data, supporting the divisional corps review process, and reporting outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This role is responsible for providing training and consulting on case management for programs within the Western Division of The Salvation Army (TSA).
  • Utilizes TSA's Pathway of Hope philosophy of case management and documentation within the Salvation Army's Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Responsible for training of new Social Services and other personnel throughout the division encompassing onboarding; instruction on the Pathway of Hope approach, CPI-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and the Corps Review Process to ensure effective site implementation and service deliverables.
  • This role will provide ongoing education for existing team members as directed.
  • Provides Divisional Corps review support to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of services.
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to program outcomes and prepares detailed reports for internal stakeholders as directed.
  • Ensure all activities and services adhere to The Salvation Army's policies and standards, as well as Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Driving is an essential function of the of the role.
  • This role may be required to work outside of normal business hours as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience: High School or GED graduate along with one-year certification from college or technical school in the field of Social Services, BS in the human services field preferred; or three years of related experience.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

  • Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and The ability to access payroll, timekeeping, and personal data via a web-based system including The Salvation Army's Information Management System.
  • Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, and attention to detail and filing.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.

Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Mus be approved through the Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete within 90 days of employment the following:

  • The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm
  • The Salvation Army's Case Manager Certification
  • The Salvation Army's Pathway of Hope and Salvation Army's Information Management System (SIMS) training
  • CPI-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
