Reporting directly to the Division Vice President, the Region Director provides leadership and support for a designated group of stores referred to as a Region, comprised of 9 - 21 locations. The position of Regional Director will develop and lead an amazing team, deliver KPIs, create an environment that is emotionally and physically safe, drive execution of overall sales planning and provide a pleasant customer shopping experience, while upholding brand image and standards. What will I do as an Regional Director at The GIANT Company?
  • Fosters a team-oriented working environment that emphasizes CARE in all decision making.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations within the region, including staffing and team member relations, customer service, sales, and inventory management.
  • Creates a store environment that is visually appealing and aligned with commercial strategy brand image - clean, safe, well-stocked and consistently ready for business.
  • Stays informed about the competition, market trends, and industry developments to aid informed decisions and evolve strategies where appropriate.
  • Ensures the region is compliant with all local/state/federal laws and regulations, while adhering to Company policy and procedure.
  • Develops and implements strategies that drive sustainable sales growth, monitors performance, and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Mentors and inspires team members to foster growth and encourages personal and professional development.
  • Partners with HRBP (Human Resource Business Partner) to recruit and develop diverse talent at all levels of store operations.
  • Creates an environment that fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation, one that accepts team members as their authentic selves.
  • Implements loss prevention measures that minimize product loss, fraudulent activity, and inventory shrink.
  • Overall P&L management and responsibility
  • Maintains open lines of communication with all functional areas to ensure alignment with strategies and company goals.
  • Fosters and develops positive customer relations resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Promotes and participates in developing strong community relations across all market areas to enhance The Giant Company's reputation and community impact.
  • Travels frequently to stores across the region and company-wide initiatives.
What do we expect you to bring to the table?
  • 7+ years of experience leading teams and driving success in retail
  • Strong background in human resources, supply chain management, merchandising, or related areas
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and create an inclusive, engaged work environment
  • Results-oriented with a knack for understanding retail dynamics and boosting growth
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant retail experience is also valuable
  • Willing to travel to stores and business events regularly
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • Great communicator who inspires and connects with team members at all levels
  • Bold in fostering innovation and setting a purposeful example
  • Experienced in managing large teams across different markets
  • Skilled in budgeting and financial management for multiple locations
  • Deep knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising

What are the details?
  • Reporting: The Regional Director reports in to the Divisional Vice President and oversees up to 21 stores.

  • Travel: This position will require travel 30%-50% of the time.
