Job Description:

The Regional Director manages the day-to-day operations in assigned region to reflect Caregiver's mission, vision and cause.

Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties

* Ensures that services are provided for consumers as required by individual PDP's.

* Oversees and ensures efficient use of all resources.

* Primary manager of funding sources.

* Provides support for company initiatives by allocating resources and providing representation from assigned locations.

* Coordinates with Executive Team on strategic planning and growth.

* Responsible for Marketing and Public Relations to the community.

* Coordinates Quality Assurance and Special Review Committees in compliance with company standards.

* Responsible for Foster Care and Respite contracts, ensuring services are delivered as required by consumer PDP.

* Primary contact for DPRS and APS.

* Authorizes expenses up to $1,000.00.

* Responsible for meeting financial goals in assigned locations.

* Ensures all Team Members are aware of the requirement to conduct all company business in a moral and ethical manner to promote a positive image of the company.

* Primary leadership example for assigned areas; conduct must be reflective of the Guiding Principles.

* Responsible for Team Member relations and Consumer relations in conjunction with Human Resources and the Executive Team, ensuring that all Team Members display actions consistent with Caregiver's mission and that consumers are provided opportunities that will enhance their lives.

* Perform all other job duties as assigned by management.

* Supervisory Responsibilities:

* May directly supervise Assistant Directors, Team Member Coordinators, Nursing Supervisors, and Maintenance Team Members, dependent on location.

* Responsible for all employment actions for the aforementioned positions including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, rewarding, evaluating, and terminating.

* Ensures the corrective action process is followed if Team Members fail to meet required expectations or if policies and/or procedures are violated.

* Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

* Sitting is 50% of work time.

* Standing and walking is 30% of work time.

* Bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, and kneeling is 30% of work time.

* Grasping and finger/hand manipulation is 50% of work time.

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

* Ability to operate computer, facsimile, copier, shredder, and calculator.

* An office setting, varying degrees of background noise, standard office lighting and ventilation, occasional temperature fluctuations are found in the work environment.

* Normal business hours with flexibility to work overtime or non-standard hours as required by special projects.

* Travel will be up to but not limited to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

* Excellent writing skills

* Outstanding communication skills

* Ability to work in a professional environment.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

* Bachelor's degree in social services field or equivalent experience

* Minimum of 10 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities

* Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
