Summary

American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers compensation, and occupational medicine.

We are seeking a Director of Operations for our East Alabama market consisting of 6 centers. The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership and direction to these centers. These centers are located within

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for the overall management of assigned centers and ensuring assigned centers meet established goals.

* Establish center goals consistent with corporate goals.

* Monitor center performance, identify sources of performance gaps, and assist center management in the development and implementation of corrective action to address performance gaps.

* Serve as liaison between center, providers, and corporate staff and serve as resource to center management and staff in the resolution of issues and concerns.

* Collaborate closely with Facilities and other groups in the construction, supply, staffing, and opening of new facilities within geographic region.

Requirements

* Previous experience in managing within an outpatient care clinic preferred.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired

* Strong communication, leadership, management, coaching, and delegation skills

Physical Demands/Work Environment (optional)

Clinic and office setting. Requires extended periods of standing and walking (more than 6 hours a day). Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Ability to use keyboard and mouse and view computer monitor. Ability to drive short and/or long distances frequently. Occasional overnight travel required.
