POSITION Allspring Global Investments is seeking a Regional Director in Indiana, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, reporting to Scott Engroff, Divisional Director and Senior Vice President. Regional Directors cover strategically important and large market geographic areas in the Intermediary Sales channel and are responsible for driving sales of Allspring's mutual funds, separately managed accounts, money funds and DCIO business at all broker dealers and RIAs. Regional Directors are expected to demonstrate leadership through several avenues: leading your territory, leading our team, leading your customers, leading throughout the community, and leading your peers. Regional Directors establish themselves as a trusted resource for their clientele for market insight, asset management solutions and practice management solutions. On a consistent basis, Regional Directors share best practices and lead by example, mentor, and embrace opportunities to share experience, wisdom, and insight throughout the organization. Regional Director sales achievement success will be driven by several factors such as: client service model, segmentation strategy, effectiveness at point of sale, consistency, and focusing on the right products, advisors, and firms. Leaders take a consultative approach at every meeting and are expected to consistently have top tier activity exceeding their weekly, monthly, and annual activity target metrics. Regional Directors are expected to have a diverse mix of business that represents asset allocation, fixed income, and equities. They are also expected to provide best in class resources to their clients. Regional Directors are responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with key centers of influence and top financial advisors to provide portfolio consultation and product solutions for internal and external investment distribution channels. Finally, Regional Directors consistently ask for business and close sales opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES The Regional Directors priority will be to drive sales of Allspring's mutual funds, separately managed accounts, money funds and DCIO business at all broker dealers and RIAs in strategically important and large market geographic areas in the integrated distribution channel. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborating with sales management to provide feedback and insights on trends in the industry and market demands on our Financial Advisor clients.
  • Achieving top tier market share at the territory level, at Allspring's focus firms, and in their focus products.
  • Providing updates on what the Financial Advisors own and discussing best investment strategies and business management ideas.
  • Excelling in leaning in on specific asset classes, earning the right to compete for a spot, and delivering exceptionally on proposals.
  • Leveraging third party speakers, portfolio managers and product specialists throughout the year.
  • Identifying and partnering with key local Centers of Influence, as well as key broker/ dealer personnel to expand the breadth and depth of existing relationships and increase client access to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Strategizing ways to penetrate new markets and deepen existing relationships to maximize competitiveness of products.
  • Partnering with home office platform investment strategy consultants and key accounts relationship managers to ensure execution on strategies with key internal and external distribution channels.
  • Partner with COIs to increase reach and deepen advisor relationships.
  • Achieving excellence by demonstrating high performance standards and pursuing business unit goals in the most ethical and efficient manner. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 5 years minimum of sales experience required bringing experienced relationships and sales success with top Financial Advisory firms.
    • Experience exceeding established performance goals.
    • Solid knowledge of industry-specific needs, constraints, and opportunities for wealth and investment management.
    • FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66)
    • Live in major metro center of territory
    • Results-oriented drive to succeed with a strong service orientation, high energy, a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial mindset within the context of a large public company, and an excitement toward building a business. The ability, gravitas, and credibility to draw consensus across Allspring in support of structuring creative solutions.

      • Excellent relationship building skills coupled with the ability to work effectively in a team environment where strong independent thinking skills are important.
      • Demonstrable intellect - excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Strong presentation & facilitation skills.
      • Ability to travel 80% of the time.
