As a member of the logistics group, the Regional Warehouse Manager-RDCs will be responsible forthe strategy, planning, and operations for all Regional Distribution Centers in Consumer Packaging North America. This role will collaborate with Commercial and Product Line Management on distribution strategy for all customers. Responsibilities Take responsibility for assigned DC locations' financial performance and functions managed by distribution center managers including warehousing and inventory control, DC transportation and logistics and execution of operational best practices. Monitor and manage operational performance of division and locations using KPIs. Review and share monthly performance regarding efficiency and financial performance with each DC manager. Identify, recommend and pursue opportunities to increase efficiency, improve cost control and improve DC operations department wide while maintaining consistent service levels to customers. Work with the sales team on new sales opportunities by meeting with potential customers and developing the operational requirements when facilitated by sales team. Assess DC service levels and collaborate with sales team understand customer needs and problems. Assure successful management and support of customer relationships by all DC location teams. Ensure processes and procedures are used and followed by the Distribution Managers to ensure customer satisfaction. Review expenses associated with labor compared to labor standards, staffing forecasts and department budget. Coach and mentor DC Managers to achieve target staffing levels while handling business levels. Review and approve all purchase requisitions from DC management for discretionary expenditures. Manage and recommend capital expenditures with respect to maintenance and repair for equipment, buildings and grounds. Approve and administer employee recognition, safety or miscellaneous recognition program expense. Review performance of area operations managers, retention and turnover. Provide coaching and complete performance appraisals. Develop area managers in skills of hiring, employee training, employee coaching, and progressive discipline. Review and approve all written employee corrective actions. Sponsor and be accountable for the division safety performance. Enforce, assure compliance and support safety management regarding documentation of injuries, facility damage, near misses, safety audits, and other safety management procedures or best practices. Assist with identifying hazards of required jobs within the department, assure training compliance, and sponsor other needs as directed by corporate safety leadership. Facilitate and provide communication to Distribution Managers to ensure objectives are met for each day and month. Foster and ensure communication cross departmentally between distribution team and supporting departments. Provide regular communication to Director of Distribution to ensure all current objectives are being met in a timely manner. Provide leadership and manage backup support for DC managers as necessary for support or extended absences. Lead DC Operations Managers regarding all expectations and details relevant to supporting and managing respective DC locations. Other duties as assigned by Director of Logistics. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/education combination. Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience including people management Experience with warehouse management systems and layout design. Implementation of warehouse management systems.
