As Regional Chef, you are responsible for leading all culinary functions for Emirates Lounges at 4 major airport hubs across the United States.

  • Overseeing 4 airport locations
  • Travel = 60% of time
  • Candidates can reside on the East or West Coast - MUST live near a major airport
  • Background in Arabic/Mediterranean cuisine is a MUST
  • Multi-Unit Leadership and responsibility is a MUST
  • Salary- $115,000 - $125,000 *based on skill and experience and time in positions
  • Bonus potential of 20%
  • Lounges are open from 5 AM -11 PM - 365 days a year
  • 50-hour work week - Open Availability is required
  • Experience In VIP Clubs and Fine Dining is HIGHLY desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the operations plans and systems to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Manages cost controls and control expenditures for the region
  • Acts as a Regional leader who models competencies and behaviors that support the company's values
  • Plans and creates menus which include influencing the menu for chefs tables, catering expos, etc.
  • Develops and communicates strategies for improving customer experience
  • Interacts professionally with a diverse group of associates, suppliers, clients, and customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Degree, or comparable four-year culinary development experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience, multi-unit experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate on various levels including management, departmental, customer, and associate levels
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, hands-on management, and coaching skills
  • Location - the candidate selected will preferably live anywhere on the East Coast but could also possibly be West Coast-based as well (for the right candidate)
  • Strong financial foresight, proven P&L experience, budgetary, and food control practices
  • A demonstrated ability to assess and grow people, operations, equipment, and revenue
  • Willing to travel at a minimum of 60% of the year
  • Background in Arabic cuisine is a must
  • Computer skills and experience with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred
