Job Description:
Meritage Hospitality Group, one of the nation's largest Wendy's franchisee, and developer of West Michigan restaurant concepts like Stan's Tacos and Morning Belle, is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our Human Resources team!What You'll Do:The position focuses primarily on being a true Human Resources Partner to help develop the people in our markets and build our future leaders. This position is performed remotely in our markets, so when you aren't working from home, you'll be in our restaurants interacting directly with our people.Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Consulting with business leaders to identify needs, analyze metrics and adjust strategy to support business objectives - maintaining a HR Scorecard is a key element/foundation of this consultation
  • Talent and development planning - driving workforce/succession planning, identifying gaps in talent, engaging in activities such as management development planning, and maintaining a bench tracker
  • Staffing planning and support - partnering with leaders to identify staffing needs, developing strategies to support, and coordinating with the Talent Acquisition team
  • Cultivating a strong, positive culture in our restaurants that reflects the Core Values of Meritage and the legacy of Dave Thomas - this includes investigating conduct, performance, and integrity concerns in our restaurants
  • Leadership development by conducting training and coaching to build key leadership skills like performance management, positive culture enhancement, and managing conflict

  • A Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in an HR role involving direct contributions to workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management (5+ years preferred)
  • SHRM-CP or -SCP, or PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Full time residence or the ability to relocate to the Atlanta, GA area
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Travel to headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI for a few days every quarter
