Job DescriptionPosted Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 5:00 AMPURPOSE OF ROLE:The purpose of this role is to be a hands on partner and consultant with management to align employee policy and practices with business objectiveswithin Ravago Americas' Supply Chain & Logistics Division. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the values and priorities of the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consults with line management, providing general HR guidance when appropriate. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. Meets regularly with management and employees to ensure business objectives, performance and employee satisfaction are aligned. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Partners with legal to assist international employees with related HR matters. Provides guidance and input on business unit start-ups, restructures, and workforce planning. Identifies training needs for business units and individual career coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Drives local community stewardship activities, including participation in charitable organizations.COMPETENCIES: Above average organizational, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates superior judgment and excels at utilizing information to build business case and enact positive change.KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or a related field. 5 - 7 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions, preferred. Professional HR certification is a plus. Experience with cross-functional and multi-functional project team(s) as a member and/or lead. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including staffing, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office. Experience working in logistics and distribution, manufacturing or warehouse environment a plus. Bilingual is a plus (English and Spanish).
