The Regional Human Resources Manager for Cultivations and Operations is a driving force behind our mission to provide top-notch service, outstanding products, and exceptional experience for both our valued customers and dedicated employees. The Regional HR Manager will partner and collaborate with the Cultivation and Operations leadership team and associates at our Athol and Amesbury, Massachusetts, and Lansing, MI sites to help build and strategically support the organization. The incumbent must have a strong acumen and history of developing performance related processes, engagement, and development routines across a highly dynamic and evolving footprint.
This role is strategic with tactical support provided by a new shared services function and welcomes solving challenging problems and building strong relationships with the Cultivation and Operations team at the sites.
Location: Athol, MA operations facility with up to 50% travel expectation across our Amesbury, MA, and Lansing, MI operations facilities
Primary Responsibilities:
* Partner with site and HR Leadership to plan and organize all activities
* Collaborate with site and HR Leadership with implementing employee policies and procedures
* Participate in onsite Cultivation and Operations Leadership staff meetings and HR required meetings as scheduled
* Direct the onsite HR teams on all performance management and ensure execution and compliance
* Collaborate with site and HR Leadership to define the Cultivation and Operations organizations strategy and goals; identify ways to support this strategy through talent management in partnership with the Learning and Development team
* Drive performance, engagement, and development of our HR Cultivation and Operations site teams
* Collaborate with HR peers in a joint effort to identify opportunities within our talent management programs/processes, partner with appropriate functional leaders across the HR team to address (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning and Development
* Collaborate with our HR peers to ensure we have the right compensation and benefits strategies in place to attract and retain talent
* Partner with HR peers on employee relations to identify and address trends, monitor employee concerns and address issues, conduct investigations and coach the team as needed
* Serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, facilitating positive and effective communication and collaboration on labor relations issues, including responding to grievances by investigating concerns, coordinating resolution efforts, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Train and lead direct report(s)
* Issues written & verbal instructions; examines for conformance to regulations and policy.
* May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff including motivating staff (including hiring, firing & performance management).
* Assists with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Requirements:
* 5+ years HR leadership experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or other related fields preferred; Associates degree may be considered with commensurate experience. Human Resources professional certification highly desired (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
* Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships at all levels including Senior Executives
* Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus; ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate at all levels
* Proven labor relations experience
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite products; Experience with HR systems
* Experience coaching and developing staff and leadership
* High level of professionalism, personal integrity and dependability
* Adept at working in a cross-functional environment in a highly collaborative manner
* Extremely organized and able to conceptualize solutions when faced with complex challenges
Physical Requirements:
The position must occasionally lift, push, pull and /or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, this position is occasionally required to sit and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and or touch. This position is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. This position requires you to speak and listen regularly.
Work Environment:
This position performs duties in an office setting within a manufacturing facility. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
