Shipbuilders, shipowners and operators are able to optimise the lifetime profitability, safety, reliability and environmental sustainability of their operations by working in close cooperation with MacGregor.Purpose of the positionMacGregor IM Services is expanding its internal competencies, and we are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and self-motivated IT/IM professional to join the Regional Service team to work as Service Manager in the EUR Region. You will work in an international environment, where you are the speaking partner for the business in IT-related demands and support escalations. Together with our service managers and internal technical teams you share the responsibility for ensuring a high level of IT/IM support delivery and excellent end-user experience through MacGregor Country IM and our outsourcing partners.The service manager will report to the IT Service ManagerMain tasks and responsibilities
  • Being the speaking partner for the business (local/regional/SBU) in IT/IM-related demands.
  • Mapping the demands to our service portfolio.
  • Discuss demands with our IT service manager.
  • Having regular connections with local management
  • Ensuring a high level of IT/IM support delivery by MacGregor Country IM and our outsourcing partners together with our IT Service Manager.
  • Drive process improvements together with the MacGregor Country IM teams and our outsourcing partners to improve service delivery and to reduce costs.
  • Focus on improving the end-user experience in any way possible.
  • Ensuring that global policies and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Being the 'Go-To' person in case of IT/IM support escalations.
  • Work with the business to determine project scopes and change requests.
  • Participate in regional projects like office moves, acquisitions, and divestment activities.
  • Participate in global projects.
  • Having a supporting role in the local/country/SBU financial planning.
  • Any other matters related to IT / IM support that requires improvement which can improve the end-user experience.
  • Cyber security topic related to hosting of confidential projects.
What you'll need to succeedEducation:
  • Bachelor/University degree in Information Technology and Information Systems.
Working Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience in the IT industry.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Express yourself fluently in the English language, verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent knowledge of service management practices (SIAM) and service processes (ITIL framework)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Having experience of working in a global organization is preferred
  • Having the attitude 'I am here to help you' and being customer focused, service-minded, and a team player with preferably a technical IT background. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite. As we are a dynamic organization we expect you to adapt and respond to change rapidly. Traveling in the EMEA region is a part of the role.
