Job Overview
The Regional Manager for Ugly Dumpling is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations, performance, and growth of multiple restaurant locations within the DMV area. This role involves ensuring operational excellence, optimizing financial performance, and maintaining high standards of guest experience. The Regional Manager will coach and develop restaurant managers, ensure compliance with company policies, and drive the brand's success across all locations under their supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the operations of multiple Ugly Dumpling locations in the DMV area, ensuring consistency in food quality, service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, address issues, and implement improvements where needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations, as well as company standards and procedures.
- Implement and oversee operational policies and practices to enhance efficiency, control costs, and ensure profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop restaurant managers to ensure they are achieving performance goals, maintaining high staff morale, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of restaurant teams, ensuring alignment with Ugly Dumpling's brand values.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to restaurant managers, helping them resolve operational challenges and staff management issues.
- Conduct performance evaluations and set measurable goals for restaurant managers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Analyze financial reports, KPIs, and operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with restaurant managers to develop action plans to meet or exceed financial targets, including sales growth, labor control, food costs, and profitability.
- Ensure effective inventory management, cost control, and waste reduction across all locations.
- Work with senior leadership to develop and implement budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to maximize profitability.
- Ensure all locations consistently deliver an excellent guest experience by upholding Ugly Dumpling's standards of service, food quality, and restaurant ambiance.
- Monitor customer feedback, address any issues or complaints promptly, and implement changes to improve guest satisfaction.
- Ensure restaurant managers maintain a culture of hospitality and service excellence across all locations.
- Ensure brand consistency by adhering to company protocols, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in multi-unit or regional management within the restaurant or hospitality industry, preferably in fast-casual or Asian cuisine concepts.
- Proven track record of managing and improving operational performance in a multi-location setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost management, and P&L oversight.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel frequently to locations within the designated restaurant locations.
