As a Regional Manager of Wealth Management & Trust, your day will be filled with opportunities to build and develop all facets of the Wealth Management Business in the Central Kentucky market. Emphasis will be on obtaining new business such as investment management, trust, company retirement plans, financial planning and insurance. Management and Trust experience are important while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate's skills and to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession. Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities and essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Build and manage the Wealth Management & Trust team; build and market the Stock Yards Wealth Management Brand in Central Kentucky.
* Introduce new business and client services ideas and improve best-practices.
* Develop and implement the team's business plan and tactics designed to acquire new high net worth clients.
* Manage day-to-day sales process through closure.
* Developing, prioritizing, and cultivating COIs.
* Create and implement focused marketing plan.
* Prepare and present business presentation to new prospects.
* Significant focus on business development duties both internally (with Wealth and Investment Advisors, Private Bankers, Commercial Lenders, Senior Management, the Board of Directors, and others) and externally with prospects and centers of influence.
* Work closely with other professional advisors of clients to support overall planning needs.
* Handle new and existing client relationships as an Advisor.
* Work in close partnership with other areas of the Bank and the Wealth Management & Trust department to identify and promote cross-selling opportunities.
* Manage expenses of the market.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and/or skills:
* BS/BA in Business/Finance or related field
* Advanced designations such as JD, CPA, CFP, or MBA desired
* Minimum of 5 years of investment, trust, or financial planning experience
* High level of investment, fiduciary and estate planning knowledge
* Excellent customer service skills
* Communicate effectively through writing and speaking as appropriate for the needs of the audience
* Capability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of clients, management, and employees
* Demonstrate active listening skills
* Use critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
* Possess judgment and decision making skills
* Efficiently manage own time as well as the time of others
* Ability to apply general rules, policies, and regulations to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
* Coordinate actions in relation to actions of others
* Ability to determine a problem and sense something is either wrong or likely to go wrong
* Ability to combine pieces of information and form relationships or conclusions about unrelated material
* Computer proficient
* Effectively uses Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create spreadsheets, various documents, and presentations
* Experience with Morningstar
* Professional appearance and demeanor
* Proven supervisory and employee development experience
* Experience in managing personnel resources
* Broad knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets
* Experience successfully managing similar department or platform
