Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the organization wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards. Activities include but are not limited to chart reviews, data abstraction for CMS Core Measures and other quality outcomes studies, and staff education regarding core measures and updates regarding new and enhance indicators.
The role has primary responsibility for coordination and education of Core measures and PI initiatives to have a positive and measurable impact on outcomes. Seeks diverse funding supervising auditors, supporting the design, development, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of statistical data to support the many performance functions. Operational and supervisory responsibilities include but not limited to interpret and provide accurate and timely information to Director and senior executive team in a format that is easily understood and relevant to the decision-making process. This will involve supervision and receipt of complex and sensitive information to analyze, interpret and present in an appropriate format for process improvement and timely submission to CMS and other regulatory agencies. Develops and implements sound practices and audit controls, establishes quality control procedures, and specifies effective statistical process controls. Supervisor will conduct internal audits, reviewing supporting documentation, and appraise preparedness of the auditors.
Required to work closely with colleagues in producing information analysis. Able to coach and mentor the PI Coordinators and data abstractors.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Excellent computer skills are required including proficiency in (MS Office (Word, Excel, Access). Experience in reviewing charts for care issues. Detail oriented organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple cases, directions and be able to follow-through. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Experience with Medical Staff communication a must. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with exceptional professional work ethics. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, database and typing.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field Foreign Medical Graduate, State RN licensure or Certification in a healthcare field
