This position is contingent on a contract award.
Serves as a deputy to a program manager (PM) for contract delivery to include supervision of other employees in the project management office and/or field personnel. Responsible for operational project planning and implementation for a defined government contract. Establishes deadlines, assigns resources and responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of various projects. Prepares project status reports for senior leadership. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Provides operational project support to the PM for reporting, tasker completion, developing presentations, contract management, communications, scheduling and other assigned functions.
* Provides supervision of employees in the project management office, regional or installation level
* Meets with business process owners and key stakeholders to identify project goals, objectives, critical success factors, and success measures.
* Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
* Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, including meeting facilitation and documentation.
* Review's deliverables prepared by team before passing to project team members.
* Prepares for project reviews and quality assurance procedures.
* Analyzes and evaluates program data and metrics and provides input for high level reports (taskers) for corporate and government leadership.
* Minimizes the company's exposure and risk on assigned projects, appropriately raising awareness on at-risk items.
* Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
* Keeps project team informed of changes within the organization and corporate news that may impact project scope.
* Provides status reporting to stakeholders on a regular basis.
* Apprises management of issues requiring resolution in order to maintain progress on a timely basis.
* Prepares reports and/or dashboards for enterprise project activity.
* Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
* Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
* Understands how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully.
* Conducts lessons learned to continually improve processes.
* Contributes to, implements, and maintains best practices for project management policies and guidelines.
* Assists in the development of resource management and project financial materials.
* Actively participates in Strategy and Growth activities, which may include developing solutions, proposals, staffing estimates, and/or new business opportunities, to promote business growth of existing and future work.

Other Job Requirements
Responsibilities
Bachelor's or 5+ years of military service or a combination of education and work experience.
Experience overseeing and managing projects in military/government environments, functional support roles and collaborative interactions with military/government personnel.
At least one-year experience working in a DoD or VA health-related setting.
Must have ability to influence and motivate others to collaborate.
Superior writing, editing, analytical, proofreading skills. Must be proficient in all Microsoft office programs.
Ability to work at all levels within an organization (Magellan, DoD, Military).
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects. Embraces and excels in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with an ability to maintain critical and strategic thinking and consultation skills. Must be able to present information and materials in a professional manner, ensuring information was appropriately portrayed on behalf of the U.S. government.
Must be eligible for DoD security clearance and clearance for access to DoD systems if contractually required.
Must be U.S. citizen.
Maintains high level of customer service to be measured by feedback from customer.

$113,145
