GENERAL FUNCTION:
Primary responsibilities include providing overall leadership to the assigned Regional Office of Support Solutions. The leadership shall extend to all business interests of Support Solutions both internal and external; to include Medicaid Waiver programs, HCBS Waiver programs and other businesses established by the Support Solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Design and implement all ID (Intellectual Disabilities) programs, including supported living, personal assistance, transportation and all other programs funded under the Medicaid Waiver.
* Under the direction of the Chief Program Officer, organizes and implements and directs all work related to the operation of the Program Division to include hiring, performance evaluations and appraisals, scheduling of services, etc.
* Directs all recordkeeping efforts to insure subordinates meet all guidelines and requirements of funding entities (TNCARE, Medicaid) and insures systems of audit/correction are administered to insure quality outcomes.
* Attendance at meetings which build the company brand to include Regional DIDD meetings, MCO meetings, etc.
* Be available outside of normal office hours for necessary and urgent company matters
* Attend as many company-sponsored activities/events as possible
* Attend mandatory trainings and workshops
* Works with the Corporate Director-Advancement/Integration to insure the timeliness and integrity of Cost Plan information; to include reviews, appeals, follow-up and budget forecasting (in conjunction with the CFO).
* Directs the staffing of agency locations to insure wise and prudent use of human, physical and fiscal resources.
* Overall coordination of the residential day and elderly services offered at the Regional location through the management of team meetings, delegation of responsibilities, etc.
* Serves as Support Solutions agent in directing actions related to Medicaid and Social Security assessments of all individuals receiving services.
* Directs subordinates in the completion of documentation related to monthly, quarterly and annual progress of each individual who receives services.
* Team Leader for the multi-disciplinary team and provides direction for delivery of services within all Support Solutions.
* Directs subordinates to ensure overall training compliance for all employees and initiates corrective actions in the event of non-compliance.
* Directs subordinates to insure individual/group rights of all individuals, families and guardians are protected/esteemed.
* Directs subordinate activities related to service recipients accessing community resources i.e. utility assistance, food stamps, social security benefits and TNCARE.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
* Exhibits behaviors and best practices that are consistent with the vision and values of SSMS.
* Meets the Customer Service Standards established by Support Solutions as part of its Continuous Improvement Process.
* Practices safe work habits to eliminate and control potential safety and health hazards and to maintain a safe work environment. Attends all safety training as scheduled.
* Work as part of the team to ensure that SSMS Quality Management principles (Plan, Measure, Assess. Improve) are practiced and achieved.
* Operates SSMS and personal transportation in a safe and healthy manner.
* Performs other job related duties as may be assigned by designated and/or authorized staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree preferred and 5 years of demonstrated management experience with preference being management performed in an environment where duties performed involved work with persons with intellectual and other disabilities; to include experience managing employees through various work processes contained in therein. Must meet state and local requirements regarding criminal background check, sexual offender check, abuse registry, drug and felony offender listings. Must meet all training requirements and keep training current.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee must also provide any medical records required to comply with regulations in force through any governing entity related to business operations and to meet policy and procedure requirements of Support Solutions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is full time and may require additional hours over 40 per week. She/he is expected to be available outside of normal office hours for necessary and urgent company matters.
Body Positioning: The employee is regularly required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time. She/he may also be required to sit for short or long periods of time while completing other duties and responsibilities. There is also a requirement to be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch and to reach with the hands and arms. She/he must be able to drive/travel for short periods of time to attend meetings, trainings, or perform site visits or for longer trips that will require overnight stays to attend meetings and training workshops.
Body Movements: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to handle computers and other office equipment. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to crouch when needed are also required.
Body Senses: The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, and depth perception. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to shift in focus from reading dossiers and operating office equipment. There is also a requirement to talk and listen for prolonged periods both on the telephone and face to face.
Strength: The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

* Valid Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas or Kentucky Regular Driver License (CDL- if required for the position.)
