Full time, day schedule. Main Function:
- Provide management and supervisory support to all the associates and functions under the Provider Billing, Specialty Practices, ED, Urgent Care and Hospitalists piece of the Central Business Office.
- Oversees and maintains control of daily billing and A/R activities as well as billing follow-up procedures for all Physician Billing (PB) Specialty Practices patient accounts.
- Ensure that all billing and payments are processed per payer regulations and contracts.
- Prepares and maintains quality indicators for all associates identifying goals in each payer area.
- Serves as a liaison between Patient Financial Services departments (Physician Billing, Patient Access Registration/Scheduling, Emergent Registration, Finance, Reimbursement, HIM and IT to ensure compliant billing and collection processes, HCPCS and CPT-4 codes.
- Manage communications with insurance companies and 3rd party vendor IT departments.
- Reviews federal and state regulations to ensure compliance for areas of responsibility and recommends updates and procedure changes to the Director of Central Business Office when required.
- Assist the Director of Central Business Office in planning & problem solving, goals and objectives for the PB Patient Accounts Specialty Practices areas of responsibility.
- Assist the Director of Central Business Office in serving as a liaison between the department and other departments regarding customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensures that all health System policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility are adhered to at all times.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferred or 8 years work related experience in health care billing required.
- 5 years of previous medical billing management experience required.
- Skills in using computers including Excel and Work required.
- Provider billing preferred with knowledge of specialty practices.
- Energetic individual who demonstrates management and supervisory qualities demanded for the changing healthcare environment.
- Previous demonstrated success in supervising daily billing operations and personnel responsibilities of Provider based billing, specialty practice.
- A willingness to learn and pursue excellence is necessary.
- Experience with EPIC is preferred.
- Familiarity with all form's payer claims by paper and electronic media is preferred.
- Excellent public/patient relations and communication skills.
- Skills in using mainframe preferred.
