Regional Regulatory Affairs Expert Central/North America In Salinas, CaliforniaWhat will you do?As our Regional Regulatory Affairs Expert, you will help secure market access of our commercial, breeding and production material through problem solving, external lobbying and proactively identifying issues and trends. The main responsibilities include:

• Drive regional monitoring, analysis and implementation of seed movement rules, regulations and other policy developments.
• Represent Enza Zaden in diverse external platforms at national and regional levels. Maintain an external business network by building and strengthening relationships and networks with decision-makers, regulators, seed associations and key influencers concerning market access.
• Proactively identify changes and trends in regulations and propose solutions to secure freedom to operate.
• Give presentations and/or training workshops to explain legislation and regulations and to create awareness of the implications.
• Create market access by discussing trade barriers with regulators and other stakeholders and proposing alternative solutions.
• Prepare and deliver periodic progress reports to senior management regarding the impact of regulations.
• Initiate and lead improvements to regulatory processes, including cross-functional improvements with different departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

• have completed at least a master's degree in a related area;

• have a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in the field or regulatory affairs or dealing with laws and regulations, trade, lobbying, procedures, or other work experience that fits well with this position.
• have proven experience in budget management.
• are fluent in English and Spanish (understanding, speaking, and writing);
• have excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects;
• are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams);
• have strong organizational, communication and planning skills;
• have a good ability to interpret legal and scientific texts;
• are willing to travel up to 30% within the USA and occasionally internationally;
• possess a valid driver's license and can be an eligible driver for the organization.

The compensation offered to the successful candidate depends on experience, skills, education, work location, and other objective job-related factors.Starting Salary Pay Range estimated $108,046 - $140,000Enza Zaden offers an attractive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and disability coverage for full-time positions.
