Job Summary
The Regional Safety Manager provides direction and leadership in pursuing excellence and common value in regionally assigned plants and/or offices using the concepts of Continuous Improvement problem solving. The Regional Safety Manager must understand and communicate the issues and supporting data that impact health, safety and the environment, as well as the improvement tools necessary to support the desired culture. This position will oversee other health and safety personnel in various sites / locations.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
* Assists in the Development, implementation, and manages programs meant to protect employee health and safety and promote environmental compliance.
* Directs the implementation of the company safety program for multiple sites and locations as assigned with focus on departmental and organizational goals
* Safety and Compliance knowledge, Auditing, KPI and Communication
* Management of compliance systems ie Avetta and ISNET
* Approves training for operations/office personnel on safety processes and practices, new initiatives and injury and accident avoidance supporting the company safety program.
* Collaborates with leadership and employees, and other communication mediums regarding safety performance, incidents, and other related information
* Validates performance of internal audits to identify non-compliance, hazardous conditions and unsafe behaviors; audit scope includes processes, facilities and equipment
* Manages improvement opportunities and non-compliance corrections through implementation
* Validates performance of accidents/incidents investigations and facilitates the development of root cause corrections
* Validates performance of hazard assessment, including identification of hazards and corrective action plans, Hazcom and Litium ION training and compliance
* Ability to travel 50% or more as drive by business demand

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
* BA or 5+ years' experience in a safety industry-related field
* 3 - 5 years' experience in safety management
* Proven leadership experience
* Prior Experience with Lithium ION and Hazcom
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Team building: ability to involve employees and the leadership team in the process
* Formal training in regulatory requirements for general industry. Dot and Transportation Knowledge
* Excellent computer skills: Power point, Excel, Word, Visio and Project
* Ability to travel 50% or more
Preferred Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a safety related field
* Prior ISNET and Avetta Experience
* Hazcom Experience
Job Compensation
$95,000.00-120,000.00
