We offer a broad range of products through a diversified, multi-channel distribution network, including one of the world's most far-reaching property casualty networks.Reporting to the Head of Accident & Health, the Regional Sales Director is responsible for overseeing a sales territory for Specialty Markets and Corporate Accident & Health products. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of developing relationships with internal and external trading partners and creating pipeline of new business opportunity aligned with the business strategy.Performance Objectives: New Business Goal $1.5 M - $2M per year of new business in their assigned territory.Work with licensed Accident & Health producers to solicit new business opportunities. Coordinate with regional underwriting to build coverage plan designs to meet customer needs.Leverage extensive A&H product capabilities to offer customized coverage solutions.Collaborate with internal commercial lines partners to cross sell accident products to new and existing clients.Successfully articulate AIG's accident value proposition to external business partners to drive new business and retain renewal business to achieve top line goals.Strategic:Evaluate successes and challenges in territory and leverage key takeaways for effective strategy development.Create and successfully execute business plans to achieve or exceed growth through new business, renewal retention, and increasing the GPW for the assigned territory.Work closely with segment leads to align territory strategy with overall business strategy.Establish effective budgets which reflect growth and diversification within the territory.Engage with internal business partners to leverage relationships and strategic alignments throughout the organization.Forecasting:Use Salesforce to develop target pipeline for new business, to catalog active quotes, and to measure quote-to-bind ratios in region.Accurately forecast the assigned territory's monthly, quarterly, and yearly premium production for upward reporting to leadership.Provide detailed, accurate and timely explanations for changes in forecast which enable Senior Management to understand trends and changes in the overall assigned territory's production.Job Requirements:5 plus years insurance experience, Accident & Health industry experience a plus.Demonstrated track record of business development, plan execution, and attainment of specific production goals.Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances.Demonstrated organizational savvy with a high degree of initiative and endurance in order to prioritize, multi-task, maintain flexibility and ultimately to meet and exceed deadlines in fast-paced, changing environment.Self-starter able to operate in an entrepreneurial environment that rewards the ability to successfully set and achieve goals, execute plans and work with management, underwriters, compliance, producers and clients.Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and analytical skillsBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.For positions based in New York City, the base salary is $85,000. In addition, the position is eligible for commission in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
