Job Description:

Our client is a California-based, rapidly growing lighting manufacturer who is entrepreneurial and nimble. They are looking for someone with strong sales leadership to continue to fuel their rapid growth in the CEDIA channel. This role is responsible for meeting sales targets and addressing customer needs within the northeast market. Success in this role requires excellent sales and negotiation skills, superior analysis and problem-solving abilities, effective organization and attention to detail, and a strong motivation to meet and exceed sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Work with Residential Technology Companies on Luxury Residential Projects to grow revenue in line with sales targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for existing and potential customers within the assigned territory.
  • Collaboration: Manage and collaborate with local Manufacturers Rep Firms and relevant buying groups.
  • Market Analysis: Identify local business opportunities and challenges, and report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Lead Generation: Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
  • Product Presentation: Communicate with customers and leads to understand their product needs and suggest suitable products. Demonstrate product functions and utility to prospective customers.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with sales counterparts and other internal teams to meet individual and group sales goals. Cross-sell products when appropriate.
  • Best Practices: Collaborate with sales representatives from other regions to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach.
  • Forecasting: Provide periodic sales forecasts.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management. Resolve any concerns that may arise.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of proven sales success.
  • Strong knowledge of the lighting industry (lamps, fixtures, or controls) preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Effective consultative selling skills.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Availability to travel up to 60%.
