Our client is a vertically integrated company that sells trim, moulding, and other building products made from wood. They can control the product from the forest to the finished product, resulting in a high-quality product mix and one of the best product warranties in the industry.

They are looking for an experienced sales representative to take over their Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and parts of NYC including Long Island territory.

We're looking for someone experienced at selling to lumberyards. This is an opportunity to manage existing clients and be positioned for the company's strategic expansion. The company has rebranded and revamped their offerings to facilitate growth for their sales team.

The ideal candidate is:

  • A curious and proactive person who enjoys driving business growth and fostering long-term client relationships.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys maintaining customer relations.
  • Someone who builds and maintains trust through integrity, transparency, and reliability.
  • Interested in forest products, lumberyards, and sustainable products.
  • Organized, structured, and able to function autonomously at a high level.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Past success selling to independently owned lumberyards is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience selling forest products, including lumber, trim, mouldings, and decking is preferred but not required.
  • Past experience in account management or business development.
  • A Driver's License and valid passport; travel to Canada will be required occasionally.

Responsibilities + Opportunities:

  • Cultivates and manages relationships with existing lumberyard clients.
  • Collaborates with partners to drive revenue.
  • Offers personalized service to address specific client needs, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Sells well-known quality products backed by strong warranties.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of various types of high-end lumber, including exotic woods and specialty products.
  • Works closely with leadership on market intelligence and program development.
  • Part of the sales team to grow existing accounts and introduce new products.
