This temporary role involves longer-distance driving that may require multiple days on the road, typically within a specific region. Our drivers enjoy regular home time. The freight is NO TOUCH, and some store deliveries involve drop and hook operations. This seasonal opportunity is ideal for drivers looking for short-term work or to gain experience in regional driving.Pay: $0.69/MileService Area:New EnglandUpstate NYNY Metro AreaJob DescriptionExecute timely deliveries to dedicated accounts across the regionConduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections before and after each loadMaintain accurate daily electronic logs (E-Logs)Operate company-owned tractor-trailer trucks for regional freight transportationPerform required “user maintenance” and submit necessary reportsDeliver exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery operationsMaintain all DOT, OSHA, and company safety program certificationsPreserve company property in excellent conditionReport accidents immediately and communicate any delays promptly to dispatch or managementContribute to overall team operations as needed.RequirementsValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Clean driving record (MVR, CSA, and previous employment)Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical requirementsStable work historyCurrent DOT physical certificationMinimum 1 year of Class A driving experience or equivalent military experienceAt least 23 years of ageComprehensive knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniquesProficiency in safely operating various vehiclesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and make sound judgmentsCapability to maintain equipment safely at all timesWillingness to be away from home for multiple days at a timeAbility to manage time effectively and plan routes efficientlyPhysical Demands:Extended periods of sitting while operating vehicles for multiple daysManual dexterity for vehicle operation and equipment managementOccasional heavy lifting (50+ pounds) for cargo handlingHigh levels of concentration and situational awareness over long drivesFlexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekendsAbility to work in various weather conditionsPhysical capability for climbing in and out of truck cabs and trailersCompliance with all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipmentEEO Statement: NRS is an equal opportunity employer.
