POSITION SUMMARY:
Person in this position is responsible for overall leadership and helping the company achieve financial goals/objectives. Also responsible for operating performance. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Preside over Texas operations
- Sets goals, monitors work, and evaluates results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization
- Attract, retain, and motivate staff
- Supervise assigned staff and ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all staff
- Provides leadership on internal issues as they arise
- Work alongside community leaders, executive directors, major donors/funders, government officials, and senior staff/board members
- Ensure highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization
- Oversee revenue generation and identify ways to maximize revenue
- Prepares budgets and analyze financial reports in coordination with Zone staff and accounting staff
- Develop business plans and identify and lead new business opportunities
- Participate in and nurture broad networks of alliances with others to exchange knowledge and information about learning and change in support of change initiatives
- Promote WestCares image, services, mission, and vision
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
- Ability to operate a computer and complete documents in Microsoft Word program formats or the ability to learn.
- Ability to respond as needed to crisis situations in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.
- Military/Veteran preferred.
- Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance
- Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance is required; and
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in top-level management of a large social service organization
- Masters Degree or equivalent in Administration, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or related field preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Extensive local and state-wide travel in Laredo & Ft. Worth; some out of state travel to meeting locations across WestCare, including overnight stays
- Work is performed primarily in a professional, office setting.
- A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly more hours will be required from time to time. Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours. Regular attendance is required. Being able to work as many hours as is necessary to complete job tasks is a required and essential duty of this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasional lifting of more than 10 pounds.
- Sitting, standing, walking, reaching are performed in the normal course of the position.
- The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, BUT exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee engaged in Category II tasks.
