Registered Behavior Technician Reports to: Licensed Applied Behavioral Analyst, DD/ABI DepartmentLocation: 1603 Court Street, Syracuse NY 13208Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m-5 p.m.The people we care for come from all walks of life, and so do we. Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings. Main Function: Under the supervision of the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst, provide 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and provides support to their families. Responsibilities include: understanding and implementing individualized Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs, data collection and completion of documentation of services.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Provision of services for participants Assists the LBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting With the LBA, instructs participants and family/significant others in home programs and protocols Participates with other health care and/or school personnel in participant care planning2. Completes required documentation Complete all program documentation in a timely manner and per Agency standards. Documentation includes but not limited to: service notes, behavioral data, program outcomes, etc. Completes incident report forms thoroughly and in a timely manner per Agency standards3. Community and Teamwork Work collaboratively with participants, families, program staff, co-workers and supervisor Completes a BCAB approved RBT course and maintains currents registration4. Follows Agency standards and procedures Provides person-centered, quality services Demonstrates effective time management shills Observes confidentiality and safeguards all participant related information5. Other duties as assignedEducation & Experience High School diploma/GED required. Experience working with children with a disability preferred. RBT certification required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required. Basic word processing and e-mail skills, required. Conditions of EmploymentMust possess a valid driver's license and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
