Job SummaryPivot ABA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients with autism and developmental disabilities. This role is vital in helping clients improve their daily living skills, social interactions, and overall quality of life through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Pivot ABA provides treatment for individuals through adulthood and with co-morbidities. We use a person-centered and trauma informed approach.

ACTIVE RBT CERTIFICATIONS HAVE PREFERENCE but will work with the right candidate. If candidate does not have RBT certification, candidate must be willing to complete a 40 hour course in given period of time and pass a competency test.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors accurately.
  • Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including educators and healthcare providers, to support client needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure that medical records are kept up-to-date and organized.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with parents and other professionals.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and techniques.
  • Ability to collect data effectively and analyze client progress.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
