Lead Registered Dental Assistant Reports to : Practice Manager, Regional Manager Key Partnerships : Operations, Clinical, Support Center Department : Operations Salary : $19/hr (based on experience) Classification : Non-Except Status : Full-Time About this role: The Lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for supporting the Dentist during treatments, exams, and treatment discussions with patients. This position will oversee back-office functions, flow, and efficiency. Lead RDAs are required to mentor, train and guide new and existing team members, as well as grow and challenge themselves. Job Responsibilities: Greet and prepare patients for exams, complete digital charting, and verify codes with precision. Capture quality x-ray images Assist dentists with a variety of treatment procedures Able to assist with RCTs, Cording Packing, Crown Seat, Denture adjustments, and other complex treatments. Familiar with sedation treatments, including treatment information, post-care, and monitoring. (Additional training provided) Delegate and support setting up and sterilizing exam and treatment rooms Discussing treatment options, importance, and follow up recommended care Providing teeth polishing and sealant placement procedure (with required certifications) Teaching team members how to schedule appointments, treat and care for patients. Delegating sterilization of instruments and following cross-contamination standards Willingness to jump in and support team members as needed Creating positive and uplifting patient environments by patient engagement before, during, and after visits Discussing areas of improvement with the dentist and office manager Managing patient flow and improving the overall process to streamline patient visits Monitoring staff and dentist time management to maximize patient care Guiding parents and patients through post-care instructions Assisting patients with company-provided prizes and dismissal Understanding and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Ability to train and monitor new team members and externs Complete inventory order and act in accordance with office budget Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing 4-5+ years of Dental Assisting experience Sealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring, and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, the company provides courses) RCT, Cord Packing, Denture Adjustments, and Crown Seat experience Experience with training team members and monitoring progress Experience with conducting challenging conversations Proficient in Digital x-rays and Digital charting Key Skills and Abilities, Characteristics of a good fit: Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative Flexible and innovative; highly adaptable to a dynamic business environment High engagement; supportive of leadership and role model for company values and guiding behaviors Strong demonstration of task completion and dedication to detail Team Player and great interpersonal skills Prompt and timely with work schedule Amazing customer service skills, great at building relationships with new people Open to cross-training opportunities and learning new job skills Inspiring leadership skills and mentoring abilities Excited for new challenges and growth opportunities Benefits: 401(k) Health (PPO/HSA), Vision, Dental, Disability insurance (STD/LTD) Accident Insurance Life Insurance Employee, Spouse, and Child Life Insurance Options Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Hep B and CPR Certifications Company provided scrubs Career Growth Opportunities Company provided online learning courses Competitive Compensation Paid training Employee fun days Holiday celebrations Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Perks @ Work, Employee Discount Program Schedule and Location: Monday-Friday One Location - Rosharon Smiles CDP is an Equal Opportunity Employer Community Dental Partners is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
