Pay $55,000 - $66,600 annuallyThe Registered Dietitian is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, formulate and implement appropriate diet and menu planning, interpret and verify diet orders, educate program participants and team members, provide in-service training, complete documentation, coordinate recipe book, communicate with other professionals, assist with maintenance and supplies, and participate in Agency activities as part of the treatment team.Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess program participants on an ongoing basis and formulate and implement appropriate diet and menu planning and nutrition care.
- Interpret and verify diet orders for meal planning.
- Educate program participants, team members and provide in-service training for staff.
- Complete all required documentation according to program regulations.
- Coordinate preparation of recipe book.
- Communicate with other health care professionals relating to all aspects of the Individual Program Plan (IPP)/Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Assist with departmental maintenance and supplies.
- Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings and committees.
- Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPAA requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
- New York State licensure and current registration in Dietetics-Nutrition.
- Completion of all Registered Dietitian requirements as outlined by the American Dietetic Association.
- Travel is required. Must have a valid NY State Driver's License.
