Registered Dietitian - Part timeKey Responsibilities:Nutritional Assessment: - Conduct detailed assessments of patients' dietary habits and nutritional needs. - Analyze lab results and health histories to develop individualized nutrition plans.Meal Planning: - Design and implement customized meal plans based on individual health goals, dietary restrictions, and preferences. - Educate clients about proper nutrition and dietary choices.Patient Education: - Provide counseling and education to individuals or groups on nutrition-related topics. - Develop educational materials and resources.Collaboration: - Work alongside healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and outcomes.Monitoring and Evaluation: - Track and evaluate patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed. - Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and outcomes.Research and Continuing Education: - Stay updated with the latest research and trends in nutrition and dietetics. - Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and certification.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.- Completion of a supervised practice program (e.g., dietetic internship).- Passing the national examination for RDs.- State licensure or certification as required.Skills:- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting.- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.- Proficiency in meal planning and dietary management software.Work Environment:- Can work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, or private practice.- May involve occasional travel for community outreach or professional development.
