Description of the Role: The Registered Dietitian at Menorah Park is responsible for assessing the nutritional needs of clients/patients and developing personalized dietary plans to promote their overall health and well-being. Responsibilities:
- Assess individuals' nutritional needs, taking into account their medical condition, lifestyle, and personal preferences
- Develop and implement personalized dietary plans to meet clients' specific goals, such as weight loss, disease management, or performance enhancement
- Educate and counsel clients/patients on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting dietary plans as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all assessments, interventions, and recommendations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and dietetics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field
- New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist
- Certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Registration
- Preferred: 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian
