SMHWI is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist to join our team. Requirements Job Description: Assessment and Treatment Planning: Providers assess clients' mental health needs, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crises that may arise during therapy sessions or in the community, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and any other required documentation. Collaboration: Work closely with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate care and provide a holistic approach to treatment. Education and Support: Educate clients about mental health, coping mechanisms, and strategies for maintaining mental well-being. Offer support and encouragement throughout the treatment process. Qualifications: Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or a related field. Licensing: Must be a licensed registered dietitian or nutritionist in AZ. Experience: Previous experience in mental health counseling, especially in an intensive outpatient setting, is preferred. Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations is also important. Empathy and Compassion: Given the nature of the work, a high level of empathy and compassion is crucial to connect with clients and provide effective therapeutic support.
