Req Number 126541RESPONSIBILITIES:Interviews patient and/or family for nutritional history.Obtains patient food preferences.Assesses patients and documents in patients' medical record, according tohospital policies and procedures.Recommends nutrition care plans to medical staff for review and consideration.Recommends therapeutic diet modifications and/or supplemental feedings tophysicians for patients.Ensures accuracy of diet order received by checking against physician's order.Calculates nutrient content of tube feeding, TPN/PPN, and dietary intakes(calorie counts) as ordered by physicians.Provides nutritional guidance and counseling to patients and their families.Provides written material as needed and according to prescribed diet.Assists Chief Clinical Dietitian with changes to patient's menu, includingpatient food preferences, and development of standardized recipes.Assists in overseeing food service workers in proper food handing andportion control.Reports any malfunctioning of equipment which may interfere with a safe andsmooth operation.Participates in performance improvement initiatives including data collectionand reporting on results.Performs related duties, as requiredADA Essential FunctionsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Food, Nutrition or Dietetics, required.Registered Dietitian (RD) within three (3) months of date of hire, required.Active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, preferred*Additional Salary DetailThe salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
