Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with a geriatric population.A bachelor's degree in nursing can substitute for one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience; and a master's degree in nursing can substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience. Duties Description The Registered Nurse 2 (Geriatric) as the Unit Manager will provide direct nursing care to residents requiring advanced clinical interventions; serve as teachers and resources to treatment teams, registered nurses, and direct care staff; and provide clinical supervision and training to nursing and direct care staff.
