Job Title: Registered Nurse (Acute Care/ICU) Location: NYC area Duration: Full time Shift Timings: 7a-7p, 7p-7a (13 shifts a month) Pay: 120k-140k Job Description: Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, possess strong critical thinking skills, and have a commitment to improving the lives of critically ill patients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a focus on advanced cardiac and thoracic care. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the CTICU. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Assist in emergency and critical situations with swift and effective response. Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient care. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards. Qualifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, preferably in an intensive care unit. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
