Main responsibility supports a timely and thorough admission process to contribute to patient safety and provisions of excellent, patient centered care.
Schedule: Full-time, 4 10 hour shifts per week. 9am- 7pm. Weekend rotation required. Responsibilities
- Respond to requests for admission/discharge assistance in departments throughout the hospital.
- Assist staff nurses with patient procedures such as phlebotomy, initiation, or discontinuation of IVs relative to the admission/discharge process.
- Provides supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.
- Supervises unit activities when assigned to charge role.
- Acts as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
- BSN strongly preferred.
- Certifications - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
