Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Surgery Center

Position Summary Status: PRN Department: South Lake Ambulatory Surgery Center Schedule: Varies Title: Registered Nurse The Same Day Services unit is located within the Ambulatory Surgical Care Building. The unit consists of 9 patient bays for preoperative, postoperative Phase II management and discharge of surgical/procedural inpatients and outpatients. The types of patients served include pediatric, adult and geriatric who present for surgery, pain management, endoscopy, injections and other invasive procedures. Hours of operation are 5:30am to 05:00pm Monday through Friday. The Operating Rooms are located within the Ambulatory Surgical Care Building consists of 2 operating room suites. The types of patients served include pediatric, adult and geriatric. Hours of elective service are 07:00am to 03:00pm Monday through Friday. The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) unit is located within the Ambulatory Surgical Care Building. The unit consists of 9 Phase I, Phase II and discharge post-operative beds. The types of patient serviced include pediatric, adult and geriatric. Hours of elective service are 07:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Qualifications Education/Training • Graduate of an approved school of nursing. • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department. Licensure/Certification • Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU). Experience • 1 year experience in PACUEducation/Training • Graduate of an approved school of nursing. • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
