Job Description:

Position: Registered Nurse within Assisted Living

* 20-24 hours per week, rotating biweekly schedule

* Week 1: Mon, Wed, Thurs 10am-6pm, weekend off

* Week 2: Tues & Fri, 10am-6pm and Sat 8am-12pm with on-call.

Pay: Up to $36.75 / hr, plus weekend shift differential and on-call pay

Essex Meadows has an opportunity available for hospitality focused RN within Assited Living. You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.

* Administers direct care as necessary.

* Administer prescribed medications to patients.

* Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.

* Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.

* Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.

* Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.

* Responds to resident emergency call system.

* Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.

* Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

* Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.

* Shares on-call duties with designated staff.

Qualifications:

* All nurses must be currently licensed in the state of CT. Must have current CPR certification.

* Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

* Ability to build rapport with patients.

* Compassionate and caring demeanor.
