Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Unit. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions, from simple to complex. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and compassionate care.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments, noting any changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians in examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Monitor physiological data, observe patient conditions, and take appropriate interventions when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
- Communicate care plans effectively with patients and families, ensuring understanding of hospital procedures and discharge instructions.
- Make referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least one year of nursing experience.
- Proficiency in professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Strong organizational, planning, and evaluation skills for nursing services.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
Certifications- ACLS (American Heart Association).
- RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact).
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
