Job description The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will care for patients in critical condition, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. The role demands a high level of mobility and reliability, including performing complex procedures and maintaining medical equipment. This is a 40-hour travel position, with variable shifts and on-call coverage required.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment: Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status, documenting findings in line with organizational standards.
- Care Planning: Participate in multidisciplinary care planning, regularly reviewing and revising patient care plans based on changes in the patient's status.
- Procedural Support: Assist in patient procedures and monitor responses, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Patient Education and Discharge Planning: Provide patient education and coordinate discharge planning, including appropriate referrals for continuity of care.
- Collaboration: Support other staff in delivering high-quality patient care as needed.
Job Requirements:- Hours: 40-hour week with variable shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours) depending on departmental needs. On-call coverage is required, with an average of 4-6 call shifts per schedule.
- Response Time: Must be able to respond within 30 minutes during on-call hours.
- Experience: Level 1 and academic medical center traveler experience required.
